The PDP-5070HD is the newest 50 inch display in Pioneer's Purevision Plasma Tv series. This unit boasts a wealth of new and improved features, surpassing those included on Pioneer's highly successful PDP-5060HD display. The biggest difference is that there is no more external media receiver. All connections are now located at the sides and on the rear of the panel. High pixel resolution is offered by this set. A digital path is maintained by Pure drive II, thus video noise is reduced to almost nill and quality of audio and video is maintained. Dynamic Range Expression (DRE) further reduces video noise. This can be done by using the Home Gallery feature. It is technically stronger as compared to many other sets which are being sold at competitive prices in the market. The set offers good design, nice outlook, easy to use interface, and advanced features in audio and video functions. It has better brightness results and better colors.
