The Sharp Aquos LC52D64U model has a 52" widescreen HD display with16:9 aspect ratio. It has a high-gloss black finish and comes with built-in digital (ATSC) and analog (NTSC) tuners for over-the-air TV broadcasts, for you will require an antenna. It also houses a built-in QAM cable TV tuner that receives unscrambled programs without a set-top box and again you will require cable service to receive it.
With very advanced Super View and a distinguished Black LCD panel this LCD HDTV has 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. Additional features of this set include the 10,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio, a 4ms Response Time and RS-232C Input for control. |
Setting up this unit is fairly straight forward. The stand is gratifyingly solid. You may need some assistance to connect cables for inputs 1 & 2 as you need to hold the connectors at an angle to fix them. Once through everything can be nice and tight. One good thing is that you will not experience any banding on the screen of this unit. Also the built-in speakers sound really very good.
The picture is gorgeous. Even DVDs from an old non-progressive scan player are excellent. This set will give you the joy of watching newscasts, sports and much more. The image quality and detail will leave you spellbound. The image quality is, to say the least, good. The deep blacks and rich colors really cut through exceptionally well.
